Crystal Barber

Crystal Barber, Occupational Safety and Health Specialist

Crystal Barber is an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist for the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights.

Before joining the Office in June 2018,  Ms. Barber previously served as an Industrial Hygienist and Occupational Safety Specialist at Indiana University. She maintained and managed occupational safety programs in areas including lead, respiratory, hazard communication, anesthetic gas, ventilation, ergonomics, fall protection, forklift operation, and medical surveillance. In addition to monitoring the campus for safety hazards and compliance with regulations, Ms. Barber investigated and reviewed injury and illness reports. Ms. Barber also previously held positions at Marathon Petroleum Company and the University of Toledo.

At Bowling Green State University, Ms. Barber was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She has a master’s degree in occupational health from the University of Toledo.
