Sargam Hans is the Confidential Advisor for the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights.
In this role, Ms. Hans provides consultation and assistance to covered employees of the legislative branch on their rights under the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 Reform Act and on the procedures of the OCWR. Ms. Hans has a strong background in a variety of workplace matters including: discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She also serves as a Volunteer Attorney at the DC Bar Pro Bono Center. Before joining the OCWR in June 2019, Ms. Hans worked in private practice dealing with labor and employment law, white collar crimes, and compliance issues. Ms. Hans received her law degree from William and Mary Law School and earned her bachelor’s degree from a law university in Delhi, India.
